2015 Banquet Award Nominations

If you have someone in mind to nominate for one of the many awards given away at our Annual Chairman’s Banquet then keep a watch out for the awards nomination form to arrive in the mail. We will be send-ing them out in the next couple of weeks. Awards: Young Person of the Year, Hometown Hero, Citizen of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, Small Business of the Year and Chamber Member of the Year.

The staff of the emergency room of Christus/Jasper Memorial Hospital was pre-

sented an award for it’s recent accomplishment of breaking the record in time it

took a patient to actually see a doctor after walking into the ER. The award came

from Christus Health Systems and is known as “The shortest wait time from door

to provider”.

A special ceremony was held on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 dedicating Recreational

Road 255 as Sam Rayburn Parkway. Brenda Job along with several others were

instrumental in making this happen.

The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for the day and we are so pleased with the

turn out of the festival. We had some wonderful entertainment from Jasper County Cow-

boy Church Band and One Heart. Plus the amazing ceremony from Honor and Remember

of Texas.
