Christmas Request The Salvation Army has requested the help of our Parish to ensure no child or young person is forgotten this Christmas. Parishioners are asked to consider purchasing a new toy or item suitable for children and youth ages 0-14 years. These will be collected the first 2 Sundays of Advent - November 28/29 and December 4/5. The unwrapped gifts should be placed in a gift bag, brought to the front of the church and placed in the stable. Please attach a tag to the bag containing the approximate age and who the gift would be most suitable for. Thank you for your help sharing the spirit of giving during the Christmas season. Grocery/Gift Cards Support our Parish. We receive a 5% commission on all grocery/gift cards sold in our parish. Many of us already shop at Andress, Your Independent Grocer, Food Basics, Giant Tiger and Canadian Tire, making this a very easy and convenient way to support our parish. To purchase cards, please contact Geraldine Canning at 613-283-6116.

Excellent idea for a Christmas Gift! ________________________________________

Spiritual Communion Prayer that can be said

from home: “My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament of the altar. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart…I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.” Amen.

Each week, beginning on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021, the Solemnity of Christ the King, and for the four Sundays of Advent, the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) has released a video recording reflecting on the Gospel Reading for each Sunday. This year’s reflections are inspired by the journey of truth, healing & reconciliation, and the Indigenous Delegation traveling to Rome to meet with Pope Francis from December 17 to 20, 2021. Please tune in each week for the 5-week series, Indigenous Peoples and the Church: Walking Together Toward Healing and Reconciliation. The videos can be accessed through: https://www.cccb/evangelization-catechesis-catholic-education/video-resources/journey-through-advent/
