Ron and I just returned from the joy of celebrating our 51st wedding anniversary with a cruise. It was an extra joy because he was so ill this year that this anniversary was uncertain--so we have a lot to be thankful for. Thanksgiving is always a time to look back over the year and give thanks for the blessings we have been given. I give thanks for the opportunity to be your Council Representative. Thank you. Council Meeting, Monday Night, 7pm This Monday night the Council will listen to public comment during oral communications on increasing the size of our Police Department and will discuss ways to possibly fund an increase by 2 officers. For many reasons, crime is up and funding is down. I believe we need more

Southern California Edison Pole Replacement ProgramSCE has been in the process and will continue over the next couple ofmonths to replace old poles with new ones to increase reliability in ourtown. Seal Beach Annual Thanksgiving DinnerThis year the annual Thanksgiving Dinner is againbeing put on by your Chamber of Commerce inpartnership with Saint Anne's Church. If you orsomeone you know would like to come and shareThanksgiving together, the dinner will begin withBingo at 11am and dinner is served at noon at St.Anne's on 10th Street and PCH. There is only onesitting so please make reservations by calling

Seal Beach Municipal Pier UpdateOn August 9, 2017, the Coastal Commission voted toapprove the Permit for upgrades and structural repairsto the City of Seal Beach Municipal Pier. The permitwas approved for the upgrade of utility lines

on the pier (including water,sewer, gas and electricallines), along with structuralrepairs (to cracked concreteencasements, broken piles,handrails, stringers, braces,and some decking). An update will be providedat the City Council meetingon Monday, November 13,2017.
