Our challenge is to have so many people show up that we will be able to mob the entire downtown Eatonton area on Nov. 2 and then the en-tire Harmony Crossing Shopping Center on Nov. 9,” says Becky Needham, membership manager with the Eatonton-Putnam Chamber of Commerce. The success of the cash mobs will depend on the community’s willing-ness to participate and spread the word to co-workers, friends and family. The cash mobs will also give citizens a chance to get started early on their Christmas shopping while getting in the “Love the Local” spirit of “Keeping the Cheer Here.” We look forward to seeing everyone in our community that wants to give our economy a boost on Nov. 2 and Nov. 9 at 11 a.m. with a $20 bill in hand ready to spend. If you can’t join the fun at 11 a.m., feel free to spend your $20 on your own time! For more information on the cash mobs, call (706) 485-7701 or visit www.facebook.com/epchamber.
