Welcome to the 2018 Texas District Educators Conference!
Whether you have been down this road before, or about to explore for the first time, we are glad that you are here. Our committee’s goal is to provide opportunities for each registrant to join the conversation around Lutheran Education. It’s safe to say that in the field of education we are at a never-ending crossroads of fundamental issues and challenges.
God has given us an amazing opportunity to connect with fellow Chris-tian teachers to tackle these topics – together – to build and grow the Kingdom for Him. Whether it’s a chance to play in the Art room, a roundtable discussion, or a session on technology tools, we pray that you will be blessed to find exactly what you are looking for at this con-ference.
THANK YOU for being here, and THANK YOU for the work you do every day in ministry to the children and families you serve.
In Service to Him,
Your 2018 Conference Planning Committee

Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and
strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people
and also members of his household, 20 built on
the foundation of the apostles and prophets,
with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. 21 In him the whole building is joined together and
rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 And in him you too are being built together to
become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.

Praying in Color Julie Pate 1068 (5ht/MS)
This presentation will help encourage teachers and administrators in their faith/prayer
lives...Praying in Color is a technique taught by Sybil MacBeth that allows prayer to come to life on
paper. This style goes beyond using a traditional method of prayer where we question whether we
have anything significant to say, are often distracted, or just want a 'different' way to pray. Praying
in Color requires NO artistic skills--just a desire to grow closer to our Lord through communication
and meditation on His word.

proach. Using Google Sheets, guide students through the rubric-building process. By being part of
the assessment-building process, your students will be more aware of the criteria they’re trying to
meet and the level of excellence they can reach. With the right setup and guidance from you, stu-
dents CAN make a great rubric.

research, preparation, and a lot of prayer, we've living out a re-imagined Theology program.
Please join us as we share what we're doing now and why we moved in this direction. (The
