RUN FOR ART
Photocontest conceived in 2015 by the Giulio Onesti Foundation, to combine art and sport. It follows the process of a real sports competition: 8 finalists per category, 40 photos total for the exhibition. In 2015, successful inaugural edition in Italy. In 2016 II edition moves to the whole European Union. This year thanks to the financial support of the Istituto per il Credito Sportivo, the contest becomes International.Participants: world citizens, amateur and professional photographers, aged 18 to 35.Theme of Run for Art 2017-World: The sport in 5 continents. The sport is practiced in any part of the world and in any social context, contributing to the promotion of an universal culture in every field: Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe and Oceania.

It promotes sports culture in Italy, in the name of Giulio Onesti, father of Italian sport, with activities to value young generations. With the photo contest RunforArt2017 the Foundation expands its interest to the World.
Giulio Onesti (4 January 1912 - 11 September 1981) was an Italian sports director, that was president of the Italian National Olympic Committeefor 34 years, from 1944 to 1978.He was a member of the IOC in 1964 until his death. Appointed to liquidate the National Olympic Committee, he managed to avoid it and to revive this institution in liberal and democratic Italy. When it was reorganized il CONI worked with skill to get the Olympic Winter Games of Cortina in 1956 and the Olympic Summer Games in Rome in 1960, contributing to its great success.
