    STAFF NOTICES:

    As usual there will be a certain amount of disruption during the last week of term due to the final

    rehearsals and preparations for our Christmas Concert.

    In particular, staff need to note the following Hot Spots when students from all years will bemissing from lessons it would be a good idea not to plan anything too important for thesetimes!Monday Dec 17

    thAll Choirs rehearsing during periods 1 and 2(150 studentsall years)

    Tuesday Dec 18th

    Orchestra rehearsing period 4(50 studentsmainly Year 10 and 11)

    Wednesday Dec 19th

    All choirs rehearsing during period 4 and to 6.30.(150 studentsall years)STAFF CHOIR and orchestra joining rehearsal afterschool.

    Friday Dec 21st

    No lessons for anyoneperiods 1 and 2whole schoolconcert.

    Smaller groups of students will be involved at other times, in particular :1) Art students on Monday 3+42) Year 11 Music prefects will be needed at various times to help with the set-up on Tuesdaymorning and Friday periods 3 and 4 for the get-out3) Mr. Morgans team (boys from 10A and some Year 8s) will be helping with the set up and getout on Monday and Friday.4) Mr. Bowen is intending to take the Building Band (20 studentsmainly years 7 and 8) into

    Taunton on Wednesdayperiods 1 and 2 to play to the public.5) There are also rehearsals for the readers and small singing groups in lesson time.The concert is at 7.00pm on Thursday December 20

    th.

    This is a huge school event and it could not happen without the work and collaboration of everymember of staff in the school. In particular it is worth sparing several thoughts for the PEdepartment who have the most disruption of all in order to give us all space to put on this event.All this is in the calendar but I hope that the above is a useful reminder and a help to new staff.
