Tickets: $20 Contact: David 9370 7046. Come along to this most popular show where you can sing along, wave flags and have a ball! Thursday 6 th September Auburn Coffee Morning at 10.15am: “The Voice from Aloft” Speaker: Dr June Nixon AM June Nixon is one of Australia’s best-known organists, choir trainers and composers. From 1973 to 2013, June was the Organist and the Director of Music at St. Paul’s Cathedral, Melbourne. June Nixon is a widely published composer, and her arrangement of the traditional carol “The Holly and the Ivy” was included in the Nine Lessons and Carols from King’s College Cambridge in 2010 and 2017. Sunday 16 th September at Auburn: The Glen Eira City Choir will present Haydn’s Nelson Mass. under the guidance and direction of its conductor, the highly acclaimed Jane Elton Brown, OAM. Saturday 22 nd September: Kitchen Working Bee to move the contents out of the kitchen. Please come and help this will probably start after 11am when the Yoga class in the Pawsey Room ends. The kitchen will be renovated during the 2-week school holidays from Monday 24 th . A catalogue of excellent and varied Christmas cards and gifts from the Leprosy Mission is available on the resource table. Order forms are inside the catalogue. If you would like some goods please fill out the form and give it to Daphne by the end of August to buy them from the Leprosy Mission in Box Hill - great to be organised for Christmas! NOTICES Today we welcome Rev Ross Carter, our Minister for today. Creating Welcoming Communities from the Yarra Yarra Presbytery Mental Health Ministry – this research report is on the resource table and available on loan. It documents the initiation and work of Boroondara Community Outreach (BCO) in Kew, Hope Springs in Heidelberg Heights and a pastoral outreach ministry in Ringwood. To develop support in creative ways for people with mental health issues, congregations are encouraged to involve presbytery, other congregations and people with lived experience. Sunday 26 August: Auburn will take up a collection on 26 August to support drought affected Rural Farmers in NSW. This is a response to the ABC appeal. Individual donations can be made through any of the 7 charities listed at http://www.abc.net.au/news/drought/
