From time to time the Secretary's office receives a note from an Associate Member indicating he or she does not realize that transfer to full Membership from Associate Membership is not automatic but by application. Bolt Beranek and Newman Inc., acoustical consultants in Cam- bridge, Los Angeles, and Washington, has announced the schedule of its five-day training courses to be given during 1981 in ten cities in the U.S. and Canada. The course will be concerned with noise
