Preterite of Hacer

The verb hacer (to make,to do) is irregular in the preterite. A question asked with hacer will often be answered with another verb.

Hacer = to do/ make/pack (did/made/packed)

hice

hiciste

*hizo

hicimos

hicisteis

hicieron

** In weather expressions, use hizo to specify how long conditions lasted or how many times a weather event occurred. Use nevó and llovió to say it snowed or it

rained.

Ej) ¿Qué tiempo hizo ayer? - Hizo mal tiempo.

-Llovió todo el día.

Ej) El año pasado nunca hizo viento.
