The urns in this collection are constructed of either MDF (medium density fiberboard) or renewable

bamboo. Bamboo is the world’s fastest growing plant and is incredibly strong; thus it has become an important renewable resource that is popular in many industries.

HANDCRAFTING

The Contemporary Collection primarily features brass urns that are handcrafted using a sand-casting

technique that is hundreds of years old. Throughout the process each urn is handled individually and may go through up to seven separate processes. In addition to brass, the collection also includes the Pagoda Collection which is handcrafted using a versatile metal alloy. Due to the nature of handcrafting, slight variations in color, finish, and hand engraving may occur.

designs in a variety of rich color options. Each urn takes multiple days to handcraft and is truly a unique work of art. A personalized touch can be added with use of an engravable urn pendant.

HANDCRAFTING

The process for handcrafting cloisonné is a sophisticated process that requires meticulous attention to detail.

The copper shapes are hand formed and copper filigree is hand applied to create the intricate designs. Once the filigree design is applied, the enamel color is carefully added by hand. Due to the nature of handcrafting, slight variations in color and finish may occur, making each urn a one of a kind piece of art.
