Kindergarten Kids

By: Joelle Peters

This year we have many new smiles! Our newest friends have entered a wonderful world of learning. They are exploring a place where they will improve and be their best! One of our new kindergarten kids is Brynn Peters! Brynn is an excellent new explorer for our school. She loves yellow, and it reminds her of the shining sun. Also, she likes recess because she can play with her new friends. Brynn’s teachers are Ms. Biddle and Ms. Smith. “My teachers are really nice, but my friends are cool!” Brynn says. “Northwood

Elementary is the place for me.”

How to Rock Your Weekend By: Kelsey Akin

Do you want to rock your weekend? Well if you do, go to Dahlonega. You get to see a real mine (the first gold rush mine). You can also pan for GOLD- real authentic GOLD! You also get to pan for GEMS. You get a screened box and get a HUGE scoop of sand with gems hidden in it. Then you dump the sand inside the box and dip it in the water! If you hate bats and mosquitoes, do not go in the winter. Check out the table below of favorite rocks.
