Page 3: Northwest tonight 13

The age range of this news is between 15 + so it is shared between wide ranges of age around the globe. Also it is watchable for both genders male and female because it’s the news, news is to inform people about the updates locally and nationally and internationally. So there isn’t much to which gender can watch is any gender can watch these news. Also even the news is told by 2 reporters male and female. As you can see here. News time 15/1/13

The visual and verbal code. The news channel reporters have quite clear verbal communication with each other and with the audience to get them interested in the news. Also to make the news more interesting they show a split screen and show us images and a part of news and it also brings some kind of entertainment into the news rather than a news reporter speaking and speaking. They sometimes have a new reporter at the place of incident and try to gain as much information from

him/her as they can. Also the reporters have a very formal conversation between them. And sometimes if a live reporter is not available they use a picture and try to explain what has happened there in the split screen. Also at the left top corner it has a BBC logo which is faded. Plus if it’s live you have a crawler and ticker for more information. 17/1/13.
