condition. It is progressively losing leaf cover, which is now quite sparse in contrast to trees of the

same species in the area. There is evidence of rot at the base, with a clear hole visible right

through the base of the tree. The loss of leaf cover indicates the tree is in generally poor condition

and, taken together with the rot at the base, raises a real concern that the whole tree is structurally

weak.
