Though the oil and gas industry classifies the area as mature, new discoveries are still being made in old and new plays. One of these is the Chalk play, which features only two successful offshore discoveries in the Netherlands: F2 Hanze and F17-FC. In 2014, EBN performed a regional study on the Chalk play in the northern Dutch Offshore, mainly based on a recently acquired 3D seismic cube which spans a large area of the D-, E- and F-quadrants. The study indicated that the play is underexplored in the Netherlands and hydrocarbon potential is still present. Investments in 3D seismic data are generally quite high. AmsterdamPG presents an interesting alternative by offering a reprocessed 2D-seismic dataset covering open acreage in the D-, E- and F-quadrants. Non-Proprietary Studies

The Dutch offshore has been thoroughly explored since the ‘60s.

Though a large part of this data is relatively old, new reprocessing algorithms greatly improve the quality of the data. In addition to this dataset, a seismic interpretation of the Chalk play reservoir and log interpretations are part of the package.

The Northsea Chalk study includes:

9 Detailed report of regional leads, prospects and acreage 9 Area covering reprocessed 2D-seismic dataset of 250-300 lines 9 Characteristics of 30+ non-drilled leads 9 2D interpretation of the play reservoir 9 Maps of top reservoir, including prospect polygons 9 Petrel project, including all wells in the study area 9 Geological background of the Chalk play 9 Log interpretations of Chalk Formation and Landen Formation 9 Analysis of hydrocarbon shows in all wells in the study area
