In September 2012, NETVRIDA economic developers attended the
Automechanika Trade Show in Frankfurt and met with a number
of EU economic development agencies. Eric Menges of the
FrankfurtRheinMain regional agency was one of our hosts.
In discussions with Rainer, it was emphasized that NETVRIDA would work with any size company wishing to move to the
U.S., including smaller companies needing basic help to get an operation started. The NETVRIDA has targeted Germany’s
“Mittelstand” (small and medium sized companies), many of which are export-oriented. These companies focus on
innovative and high value products and occupy niche market leadership positions in numerous sectors. They are typically
privately owned and often based in smaller rural communities, with much in common with the NETVRIDA region.
