Congratulations to both Providers on demonstrating the importance and value of approved and accredited day homes! Severe Weather - Summer is here and with that may come severe weather. Northalta wants to ensure the safety of providers and children. During severe weather, follow the advice of Environment Canada. It is important to be calm and reassuring with the children. Please contact Northalta if you have questions. Northalta welcomes Michelle, our new consultant, to the Northalta team. Michelle brings a variety of child care experiences and skills that will benefit providers. She is looking forward to meeting Providers and the children in the day homes. Spring Green Shack Programs - Children aged 6–12 are welcome to join in games, crafts, sports, outdoor cooking and more!

Children under 6 are welcome but must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. Programs are led by City of Edmonton staff who: Ensure children play safely Will be wearing a blue shirt and name tag Have completed a security clearance check, First Aid training and been certified as a specialist in FUN!

District Water play sites are open June 3 to September 4 from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.! Splash away a hot summer’s day at one of the City’s District Water Play Sites! Starting June 3, FREE spray parks are staffed on weekends 11 a.m.–6 p.m., and daily 11 a.m.–6 p.m. from July 1 to September 4. Staff provide general supervision and offer games and activities on quieter days. Hours are subject to change based on weather conditions and maintenance schedules.
