Barriers shal I be constructed according to the provisions of Section 602.03 B.4 except that there shal I be no deflection joints. Make 3/4" V-grooves ina I I faces of the barriers at approximately 10-foot spacings.

The barrel attenuation device bases shal I be constructed at each location where a barrel attenuation device type B-70 is to be instal led.

The barrel attenuation device bases may be constructed using 2/1 of aggregate base and 8/1 of Class 27 hot bituminous pavement. or 2/1 of aggregate base and 6" of Class AE-3 concrete. The surface of the bases shal I be sl ightly sloped ta facilitate drainage.

The perimeter of each attenuation device module. and the specified mass (weight) of sand in each module shal I be painted on the surface of the bases.
