    Group A Photographer: Wil van Stralen, The Netherlands except Female 12 by Arlette vanden Berg, The Netherlands This was a large group of approx. 20 animals - these images cover the majority of the group which was interested in, and not wary off, boats.Images taken at almost noon on July 26 2008, near Spaniards' Cove, Trinity Bay. Group seen up to Horsechops, Trinity Bay.

    Group B Photographer: Paul Dolk, www.pauldolkphotography.com This was a small group of approx. 6 animals (5 females) - there is no image of the dominant male - seen in mid-July 2003 betweenBonavista and Duntara & Keels, Bonavista Bay. Humpback PDH6 was also passing through the area.

    Group C Photographer: Kris Prince, seaofwhales.com This was a small group of approx. 6 animals (we do not have identifiable images of all at the moment), most of whom showed evidenceof teeth marks and scratches on their backs and sides, seen in Lower Bonavista Bay on August 1, 2009 - a really wet day!.

    Group D Photographer: Reg Kempen This group was sighted in mid-Trinity Bay on 21 August 2009 from 3 - 4 pm and consisted of at least 7 females and 4 calves. Nodominant male was seen in the area. Most of the females showed evidence of teeth marks and scratches on their backs and sides. TheGroup was not afraid of the boat and was happy to be close in to it.

    This small group - a male and 2 females - was sighted off Duntara and Keels, Bonavista Bay. Only one female is pictured below.

    Group F Photographers: Reg Kempen/Kris Prince

    This Group appeared first on August 14, 2010 and 'patrolled' an area between Bonaventure Head and Green Bay, Trinity Bay. UntilAugust 19 the Group consisted of a dominant male, females and 2 calves but on that day it was expanded by the addition of 3 moremales. That seemed to be the 'last hurrah' as by August 20 they had moved on. During their stay they killed a minke whale - shownon Youtube and CBC News.
