We’ve got a packed programme for you of comedy, music, cabaret, film, drama, exhibitions and classes. There’s something on every day from Tuesday to Sunday.

This Summer, the ever popular Maidenhead Beach at Norden Farm has got a new addition - a brand new indoor arts and crafts area in a magical underwater themed environment, complete with mermaids, sea monsters, and creatures that live beneath the waves. Like the rest of the Beach, entry is free, and it runs throughout the summer holidays.

Now is a great time to become a Member at Norden Farm. Don’t forget that the secret comedy gigs do not appear in this brochure - you have to be a Member to get priority booking on these special events. Ahir Shah is a comedian whose sharp, intellectual brand of stand-up features a blend of emotional frankness, poetic language, and jokes. He presents new material in preparation for his next solo hour of stand-up.

Matt Forde has appeared on BBC1’s Have I Got News For You and This Week, plus BBC3’s Russell Howard’s Good News. He brings his sharp and topical stand-up, following the success of his sell out run at the Edinburgh Fringe last year.

Direct from the US. Three piece band The Sounds of The Supremes features Kaaren Ragland who joined Mary Wilson’s Supremes in 1977. From the fevered minds of two Welsh brothers, Chameleon bring together elements of blues, jazz, funk and soul music along with an improvisational bent. Blending the individual talents of Natalie Phelps (vocals, sax), Andy Morris (drums) and Andy Challinor (keyboards) with the Beard String Band of Dafydd Owens (guitar) Osian Owens (bass). They combine original material with covers by artist such as Freddie King, Traffic, Etta James and Jimi Hendrix.

WHY? Individually they are merely ramshackle members of society. Together they make sweet music!

The star of BBC1’s Any Dream Will Do performs an intimate concert. Keith has released two albums, achieved sell out UK tours and appeared in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. A dramatisation of the libel and criminal trials of Oscar Wilde. The triumphant opening night of The Importance of Being Earnest was the zenith of Wilde’s career. Less than 100 days later, he was a common prisoner sentenced to two years hard labour. What happened during the trials and what did Wilde say? Was he persecuted or the author of his own downfall? Written by Oscar Wilde’s grandson.

The Rt. Hon. Professor Shirley Williams is a politician and academic. She co-founded the Liberal Democrats and has been a member of the House of Lords since 1993. An MP for nearly twenty years, she was a member of the Cabinet for five years. Baroness Williams is also a Professor Emeritus at The John F Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and was adviser to Gordon Brown on issues of nuclear proliferation.

Explore pattern and mask making from African cultures to design a unique and fun Africa inspired mask. As a group, complete a range of observational studies before developing a design – experimenting with wax resist, painting, drawing and more.

Create a beautiful montage artwork that illustrates you and your personality. Use collected photos, objects, pictures and your personal interests such as hobbies and pets to have fun and get creative. Students to supply a picture frame or purchase one directly from the tutor.

Learn about the history of Maidenhead and Norden Farm with the help of the Maidenhead Heritage Centre. Be inspired by objects and the history of our local area and work towards the Discover Arts Award. Norden Farm Centre for the Arts is located on the west side of Maidenhead approximately 1.5 miles from the town centre.

By road

Follow the signs from the A4 to Norden Farm. We have more than 80 parking spaces, with further space available at nearby Altwood School on busy nights. Please do not park in spaces reserved for disabled customers, or on the roads surrounding the area, as this is a residential area.

By train

Trains run regularly to Maidenhead from Reading and London Paddington; Norden Farm is a short taxi ride from the station.

By bus

Courtney Coaches operates an hourly bus service from the town centre to Wootton Way and back between 07.08am and 7.21pm (Route 5)

Ticket Collection/Postage

If you would like your tickets posted out in advance, £1 will be added to your total booking cost. If paying by cheque please add £1 per booking to all cheques (made payable to Norden Farm Centre Trust Ltd) or enclose an SAE.

Alternatively, you can collect your tickets from the Box Office.

Ticket Exchange

If you purchase tickets and subsequently find you are unable to attend, we may be able to exchange your tickets for another event. Please let us know at least 24 hours before the performance. For classes and workshops, please let us know at least 7 working days before the event. A charge of £1 per transaction.

Please note that the programme is correct at time of going to print and is subject to change.

Reserving tickets

In most circumstances, tickets can be reserved for a maximum of five days. Tickets can be reserved no less than seven working days before the event.

Concessions

Unless otherwise stated, concession rates are available to fully retired senior citizens, unwaged, students and under 16s.

Disabled Access

All performance and workshop spaces at Norden Farm provide total accessibility for those with disabilities. There are lifts throughout the Centre, as well as ramped access and adapted toilet facilities. There is also an infra red system in the Courtyard Theatre for customers with hearing difficulties. Personal assistants accompanying disabled customers will receive a complimentary ticket; please advise the Box Office when purchasing your tickets.
