Hydraulic Axial Thrust Balancing System


Axial forces acton the rotorof centrifugal

pumps. They are the resultof different

pressures at frontand rearofthe impeller

and are directed tothe suction.

The hydraulic axialthrust balancing

system eliminates these forces. Mainly it

consists ofa pressure balancing chamber

atthe rearofthe impeller.

The grade ofopening ofthe variableorifice controls the pressure in the

balancing chamberand thus maintains the
