February 2020
LOVE Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It does not dishonor others, it is not
self-seeking, it is not easily
angered, it keeps no
record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil
but rejoices with the truth. It always protects,
always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never Fails 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

President’s Report
Now that it's February, the bids for our fellowship building project are in. The building committee will be reviewing the plans, cost of construction, and which contractor to work with. Once the committee has done this, the project will be presented to you in detail to be built within our means. The design of this building is what is needed at St John's to carry on our ministerial efforts now and in the future. The date and time of meetings will be announced at a Sunday and Monday service's.
Happy Valentine's Day, Harland Walker
Thank you for another wonderful year! It is only through the combined and faithful efforts and dedication of volunteers and shoppers who made it possible to finish another year amazingly strong. Twice is Nice is pleased to report hat through January 2020, it has been able to gift Lakeside Lutheran High School over $5.4 million! Keep visiting us and finding those fantastic bargains. We’re open 9-5 Monday through Saturday, and close only for major Christian holidays and when Lakeside closes because of
severe weather. We’re just a minute east on the Hwy 18 exit off the Hwy 26 bypass at 907 W. Racine St in Jefferson. Thank you for shopping local and small for the big deals!
Volunteer: We are so grateful for more new volunteers, including new board members Bob Kuykendall (St. John, Jefferson), Rachel Steindorf (St. Mark, Watertown) and Kimara Winters (St. Luke, Watertown) as well as Lakeside students Alex Ryan (St. Paul, Lake Mills), Micah Missall (Zion, Leeds), Carlee Zimmermann (St. John, Jefferson) and Isaac Winters (St. Luke, Watertown) with dad Jim Winters, plus Connor Neumann (St. John, Watertown), Raine Thoma and Judy Ulm (St. Paul, Ixonia). Won’t you join the excitement? We continue to have many spots for new faces. The scrapbooking area needs additional help. Whether it’s working in non-clothing areas, keeping up the department inventory, or cashiering, we have the training and time slot you need to be a part of our team. Could you gather a couple friends from your congregation and volunteer for a day or evening each month? Call 920-674-6868, ask for the day manager.
