NOC Service Type: Non Objection Certificate to Place Signboards on Roadside

Service Channels The service is available on the MOID website:

Applying charges: AED 100- Certificate Issuance Charges: AED 1000.

Other Charges:

Charges to place signboards on roadsides by private companies or companies

not totally owned by the government:

- First Class: AED 5000,

- Second Class: AED 3000

Charges are payable annually, starting from the date of installation.

Submission fee payment

Required Documents

1-Offical Letter from The customer signed and stamped.

2- An overall horizontal scheme describing the place and location of the

signboard.(Documents are to be submitted in two hard copies “A1 size” and

one soft copy)

3- A signboard design (including the measurements/ dimensions, the written

contents of the signboard, and the materials used for manufacturing the

signboard…etc).

4- A design of the signboard’s base and posts (a breakable signboard, such

that the posts consist of two parts linked to each other by two inclined boards

that allow for breaking the post without causing harm to the vehicle. The two

edges of a post slide when the two boards do so).

5- A sitemap for the signboard(s), which should be placed at a distance of not

less than 250 meters from the roundabouts and optical signals, and at a

distance of not less than 500 meters from the bridging intersections.

6- Signboards are to be installed at a distance of 15 meters from the yellow

line on the roads with a speed of 120 km/hr, at a distance of 10 meters from

the yellow line on the roads with a speed of 100 km/hr, and at a distance of 8

meters from the yellow line on the road with a speed of 80 km/hr.

Subsequent documents (i.e., documents to be submitted after issuance of

the certificate):

1- Minutes recording the board installation date.

2- Current condition scheme describing the place where the signboard is

installed (duly approved by a competent employee at the Ministry) s

Steps to apply for NOC Certificate

"Your application" option in the right of the page shows a summary steps

to get the service:

1. If the summary showed in green it means the information was filled

2. If the summary showed in red it means was not filled

It requires registration at the MOID website


Click on "Start this service"


Steps to apply for the request of the NOC, select NOC type

Fill the required information


To add attachments you must click on the word "Browse" to select the file and then click on the word

"upload file" to upload it.


Click on Complete Form to Submit it to MoID or Save as Draft to save the request for

modification/changing before you send it to MOID

A window will appear to the user once he/she click on Complete the form (Voting Poll Question) to ask for

your statisfcation on the service

The customer should pay first the fees of applying for a service , then when the request is completed an

email will be send to the customer to pay the amount for issuing the NOC certificate .

Once the payment process is done , the customer will receive the certificate with receipt of payment.

OR the certificate & receipt can be found as well in the customer workspace by accessing MOID portal and

download it, as shown in the image below: Click on the icon ! to view the files & click on download to save
