Cloud 9 as Nirvananirvana (n.) - the perfect peace of the state

of mind that is free from craving, anger and other afflictive states, blissful

exaltation

Statement of Intent: Cloud 9We intend to create a 9-step experience leading to

"Cloud 9," the state of nirvana, tranquil bliss, or ecstasy. We draw upon the idea that, in a classic path toward nirvana, the subject feels increasingly

lightweight and unencumbered, shedding perceived physical and mental burdens. Our

intention is to recreate this experience by engineering sound as the user moves through a defined space, where each step, 1-9, triggers a unique audio effect, and Cloud 9 is a spatial and

auditory representation of nirvana.
