Online applications are invited from Indian nationals for the award of Chinese GovernmentScholarship 2016 under India-China Cultural Exchange Program for the academic year 2016-17 forhigher studies/research/specialized training in the following subject fields:

2. ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:-

applicant must be a high school graduate under the age of25applicant must be a bachelor's degree holder under the age of35applicant must be a master's degree holder under the age of 40applicant must be under the age of 45 and have completed at leasttwo years of undergraduate study when applying for general scholarprogramsapplicant must be master's degree holder or an associate professor(or above) under the age of 50 when applying for senior scholarprograms.

Candidate must be having 60 percent mark in the required qualification. The selected candidates mayhave to undergo Chinese Language study for one year prior to undertaking study in the areas of theirchoice.

NOTES:

1. The study of Chinese Language Course of about one year is mandatory before startingstudy in relevant subject in Chinese Language. The medium of instructions/study in Chinais Chinese Language; hence the candidates must keep this fact in mind before sendingapplication for Chinese Government Scholarship. No request for exemption or waiving ofChinese Language Course will be enfertained after nomination/selection and application ofapplicant will be rejected summarily if he/she is not willing to study Chinese Language inChina.

2. All the candidates must submit their application online through http://csc.edu.cn/laihua orwww.campuschina.org to the China scholarship Council also.

3. The documents to be uploaded at the time of applying online at www.sakshat.ac.in .

(a) Self attested scanned copy_of the mark-sheet, certificate, degrees, diploma, qualifyingexamination,

(b) Where grades are mentioned, the candidate must upload the official explanation adoptedby the University/Institution.

(c) Self attested copy of date of birth certificate/ class 10th certificate bearing date of birth orother equivalent documents.

Note: The size must be under 530 kb for a single file. Applicant can zip in case of morethan one document to be uploaded. A zip file is treated as a single file and it must be under530 kb in size.

4. Equivalent foreign degree will be considered.

5. Candidates who have already been abroad for study/research/training for more than six months ata time either on a scholarship or on their own, are eligible to apply only if they have been in Indiafor at least two years after their return from abroad as on 15.03.2016. Applications of candidateswho are abroad will not be considered.

6. Candidates should have adequate knowledge of geographical situation, culture and heritage ofChina.

7. Employed candidates must obtain 'No Objection Certificate' from their employer. In case ofGovernment servant, cadre clearance is a must.

8. Candidates must give a write-up of his/her study plan or research proposal in English (a) 500words for non-degree students and 800 words for postgraduate/Ph.D.

9,. Applicants, shortlisted for interview for Fine Arts, are required to submit 4(four) copies ofphotograph and CD of their recent art work.

10. Canvassing in any form & suppression of any fact in the application will disqualify thecandidature of the applicant.

11. Candidates who do not possess the essential qualifications need not apply.

12. THE DECISION OF SELECTION COMMITTEE SHALL BE FINAL. & NO REPRESENTATION INTHIS REGARD WILL BE ENTERTAINED.

13. THE FINAL SELECTION OF THE NOMINATED CANDIDATES RESTS WITH THEGOVERNMENT OF PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA.

14. Mere fulfillment of minimum requirements as laid down in the advertisement does not qualify acandidate for interview.

15. The applicant in employment (to which he/she wishes to return) should have an assurance fromhis employer that he/she will be granted sufficient leave if he/she is awarded this scholarshipduring study period in China.

16. All information regarding the date of interview of short listed applicants will be made available onMHRD's website .

17. All communication to short listed applicants will be made on their registered email.ltis advisedthat working email should be provided.

Instructions of the CSC Online Application System for International Students

Step1: Visit http://www.csc.edu.cn/laihua or www.campuschina,organd click "Application Online for

International Students ".

Step2: Read "Tips for online application" carefully before clicking "NEXT" to the registration page.

Step3: After registration, log in with your user name and password. Choose Chinese Government

Scholarship as you scholarship type unless you are applying for other Cooperation Program Scholarship.

Step4: Fill in the correct Agency Number. An Agency Number represents a specific application

receiving agency. It is listed in the first blank under the "PERSONAL DATA". Please make sure you file

in correctly, otherwise you will not be able to continue your online application or your application will

not be accepted.

Your 'Agency No.' is 3561Step 5: Fill in the Online Application Form truly, correctly and completely following the steps listed on

the left of the page.

Applicants are required to select a discipline before choosing their majors. Please refer to the Disciplines

Index, which could be downloaded from Help, if you have any doubt about the disciplines and majors.

Step6: Click Preview and check your Application Form carefully before submitting it. Click

confirmation of submit to submit your Application Form.

Step7: Download the completed Application Form by clicking Download Application and print two

hard copies.

Step8: Prepare other supporting documents as required and send the full package of application

documents in duplicate) to the dispatching authorities.

Step9: You can note changes to you application by clicking Retrieve Application on the left of the page.

But make sure to submit it again by clicking Confirmation of Submit after finishing all the changes.

Otherwise the retrieved application will become invalid and your new application will not be received

either
