Customer Story

Formerly Pro/ENGINEER®

“No other single CAD package can do what Creo Elements/

Pro can do!”

Richard Strebinger works as mechanical engineer at the University of Notre Dame, and has more than 25 years of experience in the CAD arena. He has used many different systems and 3D design tools in his career, among them Computervision® Personal Designer, SolidWorks®, NX® and I-deas®.

Mr. Strebinger is also an experienced Creo Elements/Pro user (since 1997), and when comparing it to other CAD tools he knows, he states that Creo Elements/Pro is much more robust than other 3D CAD systems.

“I am very impressed with the wide range of engineering tools that are built into the software,” he says. “There is simply no reason for me to step out-side the Creo Elements/Pro environment.”

Why Creo Elements/Pro is so effective

“In my specific job, I rely heavily on the analysis tools in Creo Elements/Pro. Doing analysis with third-party products is, of course, possible, but there is always a danger of a ‘disconnect’ and loss of context during data exchange.

Recently, I was working with a colleague, designing a ‘humanoid shoulder’ for research. The design was fairly straightforward. However, the engineer-ing analysis was messy from a theoretical standpoint. I quickly pulled our model into the Creo Elements/Pro mechanism mode and demonstrated how simple it was to move and analyze this model. My colleague was very impressed!”
