Superbugs: A ticking timebomb(CBS News) Can anything stop theSUPERBUGS that are making peoplesick and seem to defy the tools of

medical science? Researchers areworking on the problem, but to no

avail so far. Thats the subject of ourCover Story, reported by Serena

superbugs are extraordinarilyresilient bacteria that tend to infecthospital patients, and even kill thosewho are extremely ill. The most recent study on healthcare-associated infections in U.S.hospitals, found that, out of about 1.7million infections, nearly 99,000 pa-tients died. According to one of thestudys authors, the vast majority ofthe deaths were due to superbugs.

Are some superbugs resistant toall antibiotics? A few of them areliterally resistant to everything, saidDr. Moellering. Superbugs can enter a patientthrough surgical wounds and cathe-ters, including IVs. Uncontrolled, theycontinue to move throughout thebody, attacking a persons organs.At the top of Dr. Moellerings list ofbacteria hes concerned about:

The so-called ESKAPE organisms,and that includes organisms calledenterococci, staphylococci, klebsi-ella, acinetobacter, pseudomonas,and enterobacter. The reason thattheyre singled out is because theseare the ones that commonly causeinfections in humans, and these arethe ones that have developed mul-

tiple resistance. Take acinetobacter. Dr. Moeller-ing says its resistant to just abouteverything. It only recently came tothis country. One of the most dangerous super-bugs, klebsiella pneumonia, containsan enzyme called KPC, which standsfor klebsiella pneumoniae carbap-enemase, and because of that, it isoften very difcult -- if not impossible-- to treat. The bacteria recently made

headlines when there was an out-break of the superbug at the Na-tional Institutes of Health in Bethesda,Md. Seven patients died. Dr. Moellering says there will bemore outbreaks because, like oth-er superbugs, klebsiella is alwayschanging. They are able to pickup new resistance genes, and I sus-pect that were just going to see acontinued progression of resistancein these organisms.

difcult. The mortality rate for this par-ticular strain of klebsiella is already ashigh as 40 percent. superbugs cant -- and wont-- be stopped. Isnt it really just a ticking timebomb? asked Altschul. These arent your ordinary superbugslike C. difcile, VRE and MRSA. Newstrains like Klebsiella pneumoniaeEscherichia coli and Acinetobactebaumannii often come from othecountries. Doctors at Brampton Civic Hospital, who are seeing a growing num-ber of multi-drug resistant infectionshave turned to last resort treatments that have long been avoided

due to their side effects. They can affect the kidneys, theyhave side effects, Sergio Borgia, Wil-liam Osler Health Centres infectiousdisease specialist, told CTV News. They are actually older drugsthat have been brought out of retire-ment that we use now for these kindsof infections, so it is concerning.

Some reports suggest the bacte-ria are becoming resistant to eventhese strongest drugs. Michael Mulvey, Chief of Antimi-crobial Resistance and NosocomialInfections at the National Microbiolo-gy Laboratory, says there arent anynew antibiotics in the pipeline. I dont think we are going to beseeing anything new to treat theseinfections within ve to 10 years,Mulvey said.

Look at the morals across Americatoday, or rather, the lack of morals.Compare the sickness in everyfamily. Your children are born withhidden death. These STDs are known to cause

a variety of cancers in women. STDsare the main cause for hundreds ofmillions of organ diseases through-out the whole body, from the headto the toes, in women, men andchildren, even newborn children.STDs are the main cause of birthdefects in children. Thousands ofchildren die at birth, because theirmother gave them a shot of STDs

Notice the denition of iniquity for

this generation. Iniquity is word#458 from word #459, according tothe Greek dictionary in Strongs Ex-haustive Concordance,and means:not subject to the Laws; that is,doing away with the Laws. The religions do not keep

Yahwehs Laws in this generation.They are all as evil as the popesand christian churches. They allteach against Yahwehs Laws of

Righteousness. The Great Disciple Kepha, whosename they changed to Peter in theKing James Version, was inspiredto add to Isayahs Prophecy in thismanner:II Kepha 3:10-13

Even though the Prophecies aresure and undeniable, such as theprophesied generation when knowl-edge would be increased and withit bombs would be built and thesun will be darkened, they who are

forcing the murders to take placestill will not repent of their murders. The thought that all is fair inlove and war seems to ease theirconscience of their murders of mil-lions of people all over the world inevery time period of history. Andyes, it was foretold of these violent,selsh men on the seven hills ofRome who are sodomites that leadthe kings of the earth.
