Every student must complete a minimum of 20 hours of community service by the completion of the junior year.

•Must be completed at a non-profit agency

•Student cannot work at a business

•Cannot be completed during the school day

•Student cannot get paid

Students must pass at least 5 units (1 Eng., 1 Math, 1 Science, 1 Social Studies plus 1 more)

Attendance is EXTREMELY important!◦ No more than 15 absences are allowed per year

(includes excused and unexcused)◦ Any child under 16 who during the school calendar

year has more than ten (10) days of unexcused absences is considered truant and may be referred to the Court by the School Social Worker

◦ If student MUST be absent, an official excuse or parent note must be submitted immediately upon return (only 5 parent notes per year permitted)
