No. 303 Polish Fighter Squadron
No. 303 Polish Fighter Squadron
– No. 303 was formed in July 1940 in Blackpool, Britain before deployment to RAF Northolt on the 2nd of August as part of an agreement between the Polish Government in Exile and the United Kingdom. 303 Squadron was said as one of the best and most effective fighter squadrons during WW2. During the Battle of Britain Polish pilots of 303 Squadron shot 110 German planes.

During the Battle of Britain, No. 303 Squadron was equipped with:
Hawker Hurricane, Supermarine Spitfire, North American P-51 Mustang
