Tianyi June 2012 NMR analysis protocol NMR is used to determine the concentration of methylacrylate groups conjugated on the biochemical cues and this allows us to calculate percent of methylacrylation for the amount of methylacrylation catalyst added Steps: 1. Dissolve 2% polymer (20mg/ml) in D 2 0. Always cap bottle when not in use to prevent water vapor from spoiling the D 2 0. 2. Aliquot out a known volume of polymer solution and add an appropriate amount of standard such that the total concentration of the standard is 10mM. 3. Mix well 4. Perform NMR (Leo or XM has the qualification) 5. Use MestReNova to analyse the area under the curve to determine the concentration of methylacrylate groups in the polymer

Steps:
