Lavera Energies, Power Station UpgradeLavera Energies provides vapor, electricity

and compressed air to BP’s LaveraRefineries.

Built in the 1930’s and expanded in the1950’s, Lavera is one of the largest refinery

complexes in France.

As part of a modernization project to improvethe Health and Safety standards at the facility,

the Power Station decided to replace its GasTurbine starter system.

Nidec ASI designed and delivered acontainerized solution which fit into the

existing structure.

This plug-and-play solution reducedinstallation time and costs by eliminating the

need to modify plant layout.

Edipower Hydroelectric Power Station -Monfalcone (GO)

The need to increase energy productionand reduce environmental impact were

the driving forces behind the decision torevamp and reactivate the small

Hydropower station at the end of thecanal.

Nidec ASI handled the completerevamping, providing

2 x 300 kW (180…235 rpm)permanent magnet generatorsconnected to Kaplan turbines

and controlled by LV inverters.

This solution allows the plant to produceenergy even at reduced water flows,

optimizing power generation.
