November 2015 - Present: Johns Hopkins Children’s Center Child Life Department, Baltimore, Maryland: Volunteer on the school age/burn unit, which includes sterilizing toys, preparing activities, and facilitating developmentally appropriate activities in the playroom. Currently at about 75 hours. October 2015 – Present: Gilchrist Hospice, Towson, Maryland: Students from Towson’s Child Life M.S. program were brought in to provide sibling support for those with a sibling receiving hospice care.

March 2014 – July 2015: All Children’s Hospital Child Life Department, St. Petersburg, Florida: Volunteered in a general medical unit and the hematology/oncology unit, which included working with varying ages and diagnoses, such as preparing and administering activities, sterilizing toys, and one-on-one time with patients that were on isolation or often alone. 180 hours were completed.

Well-Child Experience:2009 – January 2014: South Lake Recreation, Inc., Clermont, Florida: Coached basketball for children and adolescents ranging from ages 7 to 15. About 120 hours were completed.

Summer Seasonal 2006 - August 2013: Plaster Cottage of Clermont, LLC, Clermont, Florida: Summer camp counselor at an art camp every summer with children ages 3 through 12. Supporting their creativity was the most important, next to teaching them the proper way to complete projects. About 800 hours total were completed.

Work Experience:May 2016 – Present: Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland: Per diem child life assistant for primarily the school-age unit. Primary tasks include planning and facilitating developmentally-appropriate activities for groups and individual patients, charting notes, and sterilizing and organizing toys, games, etc…

December 2015 - Present: St. Vincent’s Villa, Lutherville-Timonium, Maryland: Residential treatment counselor for children ages 5 to 12. Primary tasks include facilitating developmentally-appropriate activities, forming trusting relationships, teaching them appropriate social interactions, and providing a structured home-like environment.

January 2014 – July 2015: Tampa Bay Club Sport, Tampa, Florida: Sports coordinator for two adult basketball leagues. Coordinators supervised each game, addressed any issues among the players and/or referees, managed money owed for each team, and summarized every game to report to my supervisor.

October 2013 – April 2014: Woodmont Charter School, Temple Terrace, Florida: Tutored elementary and middle school children. Tutors assisted with classroom activities during the day or after school tutoring. Both entailed clarifying and explaining various subjects.

Affiliations: Student member of the Child Life Council.

Active member and the ’16-’17 Treasurer of the Child Life Club at Towson University.

Founded and became President of the Basketball Club at the University of South Florida in the fall of 2014. The organization won Best New Sports Club of the Year.

Certification: American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (CPR and AED) 11/2015-

Honors: Graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of South Florida.
