WORK EXPERIENCE: Kohl’s Corporate, Apt. 9 Intern, Menomoniee Falls, WI 6/16 – 8/16 Followed the entire design process, from concept to finished product while utilizing Adobe Illustrator. Created trim sheets in Excel for every garment style. Designed garment flats and prepared hand offs for technical designers. Observed the design team in daily meetings as they collaborate with trend, cad artists, product management, technical design, and buyers. Researched brands through competitive shopping, trend analysis, and sales. Developed, showed, and presented final products: Apt. 9, Sonoma Kids, home, and Tech Gear. Assisted with line development and line review boards. Job shadowed technical design, product management, art, and buying office. Diva Snow Gear, Design Intern, Oregon, WI 2/16 – 5/16 Sketched, designed using Adobe Illustrator, and created technical flats for several garments. Created multiple prints and patterns for coming seasons in Illustrator. Gathered inspirational images for designs and prints. Maintained garments and samples in inventory while completing fit analysis on 300+ garments. Designed garments for new up-coming lines. (Hunting, Motorcycle, and Active wear). Analyzed trends, sales, and consumer feedback to develop future lines. Preformed garment fit sessions, recorded information and notified Technical Designer. Create and revised call outs and tech packets for 10-15 garments.
