ECH Alumni Awards

Warmest greetings from the Ngee Ann Polytechnic Early Childhood Alumni Committee!

The Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECH) has come a long way since its inception

in 1999 to produce accredited preschool teachers and supervisors. Indeed, ECH has grown from strength to strength through the years. From the initial 89 graduates in 2001,

we now have more than 1000 ECH diploma holders. The Diploma has given us a firm

foundation and a competitive edge in the preschool sector and the market place.

After ten long years of grooming educators, the time has come to celebrate the achievement

of deserving graduates. We have set up the following two awards. Each award comes with a $1000 prize and trophy:

Inspirational Young Alumni Award (ECH) - Teaching The award shall be to recognize and reward one outstanding ECH alumna/alumnus for his or her achievements or contributions in demonstrating leadership and teaching initiatives in the early childhood education field.

Enterprising Young Alumni Award (ECH) – Non-teaching The award shall be to recognize and reward one outstanding ECH alumna/alumnus for his or her achievements or contributions in demonstrating creativity and entrepreneurship in a community / public service, or social and business enterprise.

Know of any worthy candidates? Nominate them! Be nominated!

Who can nominate? Anyone -- who can testify to the candidates’ suitability such as the

employer, the supervisor, the co-worker, clients, and students -- can nominate.

How to nominate? Please use attached forms. This set of form is for Enterprising Young

Alumni Award (ECH) – Non-teaching. Please see to the completion of the nomination

forms to ensure the validity of your entry. Multiple nominations are accepted. However, each nominator will only be allowed to vote for you only once.

The journey to become an outstanding professional started since the day we entered Ngee Ann Polytechnic and became more real when we left. Let these awards

commemorate our ups and downs of this journey and also celebrate our contribution and

achievement along the way.

A. Enterprising Young Alumni Award [Applicable to all graduates of the Diploma in Early Childhood Education] Criteria 1. Nominees must:

a. Have graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Diploma in Early Childhood Education

b. Have at least 6 months of working experience.

Award Rules and Regulations:

1. All forms are to be submitted by 30th November 2009. Late entries will not be considered.
