November 2nd - 6thWhat's happening Spacers?!Welcome to November, the most Novemberest month of the year. No offense to anyNovember birthdays out there, but for me it's hard to get excited for this month. Imean, Halloween's over and Santa's not delivering the new Star Wars movie untilmid-December, so it's kind of like a big in-between of anticipation. Nevertheless,we're lining up some exciting new additions to our space this month, from our newcoffee supplier to the ultimate arcade machine with 400 games on it. I honestly don'tknow how that's even possible but the arcade guy says so. We also have quite a fewevents this month, especially this week! If you have any requests for events or arelooking to host one sometime soon, don't hesitate to let us know.

Also, just wanted to thank you guys for the great turnout for our first SpeedNetworking event last week! Hope you all got the chance to talk with someinteresting people and network with East Bay's finest. We'll be doing another onesometime this month, so let us know what times work for you. Also, Halloween was ablast!

If we could come to work every day like this, we would.

In other news, our Water Cooler Pledge Drive continues on! We're already up to$122, just a little shy of halfway to our $263 goal! Thank you all for yourcontributions so far, and if you're still waiting to make a cash contribution, just drop itoff with Marina or Owen and we'll drop it off in the fund box.

Events!

Waffle Wednesday continues this Wednesday! This is not a one off

thing...we're establishing Waffle Wednesday as a staple of our new NextSpace Berkeley

vision! We'll provide the batter and syrup and you bring any extras you want to put into the

pan.

APBP San Francisco Bay Area Bike in Movie NightWednesday, Nov. 4...the Association of Pedestrian and BicycleProfessional’s will be hosting a screening of “Comes with Baggage,” A historyof bicycle travel, from boneshakers to bikepacking. Food and beers will beprovided. Big props go out to our own Sean Co for making this happen!3day Startup - Hosted by CAL Berkeley, Nov. 6th - 8th...startingat 5:00 PM Friday, groups of CAL Berkeley students will be using the first floorof our space to hone their business skills and develop apps that aremarketable and can be sold by Sunday. The team organizers are still lookingfor volunteers to help with the mentoring process, so if you're interested, shootme an e-mail at [email protected]!$5 First Friday this Friday, Nov. 6th! If you or someone you know want to

drop on by this Friday, $5 Friday is the perfect day for it. Come on by! A day pass will only

MondayNovember 2Sorry for dropping the ball on the weekly e-mail today, but it looks like the onlything we missed was the leftover Halloween candy stashed all over the building. Helpyourself! Just watch out for the sugar crash...

WednesdayNovember 4Waffles happening in the kitchen from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM! Should I change upthe waffle batter or are you guys still cool with the pumpkin spice stuff still? Also, ifyou're looking to get more exotic with your waffles, don't hesitate to bring in bananasor blueberries or...raisins?

AND...we have Sean Co's APBP's Bike-In movie night from 7 PM - 10 PM. Stopon by for some great beer and great food!

ThursdayNovember 5You guys wanna go to Bobby G's for lunch? I know member lunch is usuallyTuesday, but why not have another? Who can say no to pizza?

FridayNovember 6$5 Friday is in effect, so stop on by for a great deal on cafe space and a chance to network with

the best!

Also, 3Day Startup starts at 5:00 PM, so be prepared to watch CAL's most talented computer and

business students go toe-to-toe as they hack away for a solid three days from November 6 - 8!
