What is NG911?
NG911 supports seamless, end-to-end IP-based communication of emergency-related voice, text, data, photos, and video between the public and public safety answering points and supports the legacy 911 system on a transitional basis as long as necessary.

State 9-1-1 Committee is encouraging the PSAPs to prepare for IP delivery of emergency calls and establishing an environment that will lead to proposals for a state-wide or regional IP networks.
One PSAP has successfully implemented wireless 9-1-1 call delivery via IP.
