If you are planning on making some giſts for the holidays you best get with it. I know most years by the time I think of making something it ends up being too close to Christmas. Our last meeting was a huge success. It was our annual Beads of Courage and Freedom Pens Turn-a- on. I am very proud of the effort our club made 25 Beads of Courage Boxes. What that means is that the lives of 25 very sick children will be just a little bit brighter thanks to everyone’s efforts. To top it off our last meeting our club made 50 pens for the Freedom Pens Foundation. Our efforts let 50 members of the U.S. Armed Forces serving overseas know there are folks back home that are thanking them for their service. A big thanks goes out to Brad Taylor for donating all the pen kits and everyone who turned pens. Finally, thanks to Bruce Barron and his family for hosting this event. Once again Bruce cranked-up his pizza oven and spoiled us with his great pizza. Next Meeting Our Next Meeting Will Be Our Annual Pot-Luck and Tool Sale! At the meeting, the club will be pro- viding tri-tip and bratwurst that will be barbequed. We need members to bring side dishes and drinks. So please respond if you can bring something for the dinner. Tool and Wood Auction. Our annual tool auction last year raised over $300 for the AVWA. In the past our club has used the money to pay the expenses of an outside demon- strator at our May meeting and last year we used the money to pay for the club’s insurance. Whatever we do with the money it will be put to a good use. If you have an extra tool or other useful item that you no longer need, please bring it to the meeting as a donation to the club. All items will be placed in a silent auction, where other members can bid and give those tools a new home. November 2019 Volume 18, Issue 2

We are just a few days away from Thanks-giving and soon another year will have come and gone. If you are planning on

making some gifts for the holidays you best get with it. I know most years by the time I think of making something it ends up being too close to Christmas.

Our last meeting was a huge success. It was our annual Beads of Courage and Freedom Pens Turn-a-Thon. I am very proud of the effort our club made 25 Beads of Courage

Boxes.

Next Meeting Our Next Meeting Will Be Our

Annual Pot-Luck and Tool Sale! At the meeting, the club will be pro-viding tri-tip and bratwurst that will be barbequed. We need members to bring side dishes and drinks. So please respond if you can bring something for the dinner.

Tool and Wood Auction. Our annual tool auction last year raised over $300 for the AVWA.
