Our students are working hard to learn their instruments and I look forward to their end of year performance at the Fremantle College Extravaganza. The choir also sang very well this morning. They have been working on their pieces for the Massed Choir production to be held at the Concert Hall on September 18. They sang a piece called Sing’. I would like to extend my congratulations to Mr Myles Draper, Principal of Fremantle College, who recently received a letter and Certificate of Commendation from the Director General of Education, Lisa Rogers. Lisa congratulated Fremantle College on their positive impact on the progress and achievement of the Year 12 students. The letter stated that it was evident that the drive, commitment and capability of the staff had provided the foundation for success for the students’. Triple P - Positive Parenting Program - The Department of Education run free parenting seminars which offer simple, practical strategies to help you raise happy and confident children. I highly recommend these informative sessions to our parents, to find out more about TripleP or to find a program near you go to education.wa.edu.au/triplep. OPEN NIGHT TONIGHT 5.30-7PM - We look forward to welcoming family and friends this evening for our Open Night. This night is usually very well attended as it allows students the opportunity to show off their work and their school. Please remember to drop by the library to see what is on offer at the Book Week Fair. The Book Fair is cash only and the final opening time will be 3pm Friday. Faction Athletics Carnival - A reminder that Friday September 10 is our whole school main Athletics day of events. All students from Kindy to Year 6 have been practicing for their events and we hope that we are blessed with great weather! The P&C have organised a coffee van and will also be selling ice creams. Some students will also compete on Tuesday September 7 in Jumps, Throws and 400m running races. Students will be notified of their events prior to the carnival. Dear Parents & Carers

Thank you to our students from the Instrumental Music Specialist program for their item at this mornings assembly. Our students are working hard to learn their instruments and I look forward to their end of year performance at the Fremantle College Extravaganza. The choir also sang very well this morning. If your child or someone you know has a child born between 1 July 2017 and 30 June 2018 they are eligible to begin school next year. Even though enrolment date has closed

we still have some space available for next year!
