Principal’s MessageHelping with homework shouldn’t mean hours hunched over a desk or a huge fight every night. Here are some simple tips for ensuring your child is successful in getting homework completed:
1. Set up a homework-friendly area.2. Schedule a regular study time.3. Keep distractions to a minimum.4. Make sure kids do their own work.5. Praise their work and efforts.
Kids are more successful in school when parents take an active interest in their homework. We appreciate all of the support you give your children. It makes a huge difference! -Kelly Stahl, Principal

Read it again and again!
Go ahead and read your child's favorite book for the 100th time! As you read,
Set aside a consistent time
each day for reading.
Read it again and again!
Go ahead and read your child's favorite book for the 100th time! As you read,
While it is important for your child to complete reading required by their school, it is equally important for them to read about topics that interest them, whether it is insects, dragons, dolls or a favorite fiction series.
Make sure your child points to each word as they read it. Make it fun by using a special reader stick, such as a Popsicle stick your child can decorate.
