MAPCS News Release – Page 1 -- 11/20/13 NEWS RELEASE Contact: Catherine Flaherty For Immediate Release [email protected] 5086953919 MAPCS Awards Certificate of Achievement to Worcester Resident Nana Gyasi, Peak Medical Academy Westborough, MA The Massachusetts Association of Private Career Schools (MAPCS) presented a Certificate of Achievement Award to Nana Gyasi from Peak Medical Academy, at its Annual Conference held on November 1, 2013. The Conference was held at the Doubletree Hilton in Westborough, MA. Graduates were selected for the award based on the contributions that he/she has made to their career field, school or community. Emphasis was placed on accomplishments, academic excellence, and how the graduate maximized his/her performance and demonstrated outstanding potential for postgraduation employment. The graduate’s extra efforts on behalf of the school, student body or community at large were also considered. Nana Gyasi is a Peak Medical Academy graduate class of March 2013. According to Peak Medical Academy Director Mohamed Hussain, Nana’s compassion and spirit was complimented by the way she cared for her patients on the clinical site as well as her classmates. He said, “Nana’s course of study enables her to pursue a career as a nursing assistant and a health aid in the field of healthcare.” He added, “Nana was recognized for her continued spirit of helping and cooking for her classmates. MAPCS  Awards  Certificate  of  Achievement  to    

Worcester  Resident  Nana  Gyasi,  Peak  Medical  Academy  

 

Westborough,  MA  -­‐-­‐  The  Massachusetts  Association  of  Private

Nana  Gyasi  was  one  of  six  graduates  to  receive  a  MAPCS  Certificate  of  Recognition.  Other  award  

winners  included  Donald  Alcus,  Lincoln  Technical  Institute  (Lowell),  Alma  Starcevic,  DeWalt  

Institute  (Worcester),  Derek  Sullivan,  ITT  Technical  Institute  (Wilmington),  Shannon  Doherty,  New  

England  Hair  Academy  (Malden)  and  Debra  Madden,  Health  Training  Center  (Hopedale).  

 

The  Massachusetts  Association  of  Private  Career  Schools  (MAPCS)  is  a  non-­‐profit  membership  

organization  consisting  of  private  post  secondars  schools  and  colleges  that  offer  specific  training  in  

a  wide  variety  of  career  fields.  Graduates  of  MAPCS  member  school  programs  can  earn  diplomas,
