Sunnah foods were served at lunchtime

an amazing £1,576.12 for disadvantaged children! Thank you for your incredible generosity!

Igniting the ceremony, a breath-taking recitation of the Quraan was delivered by Bilal Degya and translated by Abdul Hamiid Sheekh and Muhammed Kothia, followed by a performance that took the audience on a journey through an elderly couple’s life from their younger days.

Ending their spectacular performance, our successful achievers were presented with a certificate and award by our Headteacher Mrs Bradley and our Chair of the The Tauheedul Trust Mr Kothia.

We were delighted to welcome story-tellers and singers/nasheed artists to our school during the Spirituality Day. Children learnt about many of Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) traits including his honesty, kindness, humility and mercy through stories from his life (Seerah). Singing traditional Arabic songs/nasheeds about his life also formed part of the day’s learning culminating in 10,000 salawat/ salutations being sent to him on behalf of children and staff at the school.

The Best of All Creation By Mrs Mohmed Angels cheered upon the birth, Of the greatest man to walk the Earth. In historic literature you will find, How this man was honest, humble & kind. A special bond with Orphans he had, He himself grew up without his Dad. No brothers or sisters to call his own, Just him and his uncle in a very small home. The Seal of all Prophets rose to the top, The best of Mankind, the Cream of the Crop. His followers filled with admiration, By this Man, God’s best creation. The moon indeed he split into two, When believers were but a few. From the right path he did not stray, Leading people to light, showing them the way. The Quran & Hadeeth he left behind, The two books in which solace we do find. No man compares, none will be the same, Who is this man you wonder? Well Muhammad is his name.

Visits to Places of Worship As part of their learning on Christianity this term, Year 4 visited the beautiful St Chad's Church in Poulton Le Fylde with their friends from St Chad's School. The children met the priest at the Church who told them all about the font, the stained glass windows and the altar.

Follow in His Blessed Footsteps

Remembrance Day

Children and staff purchased poppies to show their support to the Royal British Legion. Observing a 2 minute silence on Remembrance Day, the children thought about lost loved ones, and those who died carrying out their service to our Country.

Mini Baccalaureate

Our Year 3’s Mini Baccalaureate, which was held on Friday, 2nd December, 2016, was a prestigious event that celebrated the achievements of our Year 3 children throughout their KS1 education.

As our role model, Prophet Muhammad (SAW), possessed every superstar quality. This year’s Mini Baccalaureate performance was based on the STAR values which are at the heart of The Olive School. Oozing with confidence, our children showcased their meticulous costumes and acted out their respective scenes on Sacrifice, Unity, Perseverance, and Excellence in achievement, Resilience, Service, Teamwork, Ambition and Respect. With intervals of beautiful Nasheeds, our Year 3 choir sang using their melodious voices in Arabic and English.
