Fiction and poetry in the last twenty years not only absorbed this tradition, but have shown new geographical and cultural dimensions in dealing with the immediate local surrounding and global issues. The work of Ferenc Juhász, Krisztina Tóth, Zsuzsa Takács, János Háy, László Krasznahorkai and Gábor Lanczkor will be introduced from this point of view in the literary evening. Their works will be read out in Hungarian, Hindi and English by students of Hungarian language.

Dear Friends,Greetings for the new season! We begin the season with a group art show giving a platform to emerging Indian artists to showcase their works. As part of the ongoing commemoration of the 200th birth anniversary of the famous Hungarian composer Ferenc Liszt, we present a series of concerts in various cities of India along with music workshops and DVD screening based on Liszt’s works. Commemorating the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, we shall have a photo documentary exhibition, recalling the memories of the revolution. The Hungarian Language course commences this season and we shall felicitate the successful students from the past batch.

In an effort to diversify our activities, we will have concerts, exhibitions and film screenings as part of other Festivals including Rendezvous-IIT Delhi, Delhi International Art Festival, Little Europe Film Festival, European Union Sanskriti Festival and many more.I wish to extend my personal invitation to all the friends and visitors of HICC to enjoy the colours of Hungary.
