BEAUTIFUL EDINBURGH FEBRUARY 2015

Welcome to Issue 3 of Edinburgh Remploy newsletter.

This month we are busy recruiting for security and retail vacancies. Also, we have placements available for a well known DIY store in replenishment roles and also retail placements.

We are now running several development courses in:

Key Skills - which will help our candidates with all job searching skills from cv updates to interview techniques

Introduction to using IT for jobsearching – this course covers everything from using universal jobsearch, attaching documents (e.g. CV and cover letter) to email and

navigating the internet for job vacancies and signing up for job alerts. This will give independence to our candidates and empower them to access

online job vacancies independently.

Living Life to the Full – our trained specialist advisors are now running this invaluable course to assist candidates experiencing mental health issues to tackle barriers in a more positive way.

The five week course will offer solutions that will set

candidates on the road to feeling better.

Finally, a member of the team (Lisa Howe) is

currently training in British Sign

Language therefore we will be able to provide a

fuller service to deaf candidates (who use BSL)

Good News Stories

February 2015

On Thursday 13th February 2015, Remploy Edinburgh were featured on STV fountainsbridge current affairs show. The show highlighted the work we do with our candidates and the TV crew visited the branch to film advisors and candidates at the branch. John Mann, National Employment advisor and iAdvisor was interviewed live on the programme and did an exceptional job at explaining our important work in Edinburgh!
