October 25, 2011 Here is your weekly update on service opportunities and other news in NWA *Please click on the thumbnails for more details about its project.  Mens March Against Violence 2011 This event is planned in accordance with Domestic Vio- lence Awareness Month as a way f or men to commit to non-violence in their families, to give an alternative to those struggling with violence and to show support to our community’s victims of abuse. Join the march in Fayetteville on October 28, 2011 starting at noon. Please contact Je ff Glover, djglov [email protected] if you have any questions. This begins on November 1st. The volunteers w ill take shi fts sit- ting at the table in front of the Angel Tree and assist the public in picking Angels to adopt. Two people sit at the table so w e en- courage friends to sign up! For more information, please contact Dan Ashley at [email protected] Salvation Army: Angel Tree AAO has volunteer opportunities on Saturdays start- Competitive Basketball League On November 1st from 6PM - 9PM, LifeSource will be hosting a fundraiser at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Tickets are in purchased on the website in advanced are $20 and $25 at the door. You will receive a gourmet soup dinner pro- vided by 14 local restaurants. Blood Drive! By doing so, you can earn points foryour Greek Organization, Residence Hall, or RSO!Volunteering for a two hour shift or donating one unitof blood will earn you one point. You MUST sign inand out with the Student Alumni Board table in orderto receive points for your organization.

November 3rd and 4th 12 PM to 8 PMHPER (3rd floor basketball gym) 

 Homecoming 2011

AAO has volunteer opportunities on Saturdays start-

ing on November 19th and running until February

20th. They run a 65 team basketball league on Satur-

days for 6th and 7th grade teams. This is a competi-

tive league with above average basketball games. AAO is in need of score clock op-

erators and stat sheet keepers.
