Firstly I had a lovely meeting with Kath Roberts from Department of Housing, it is always nice to see people from other agencies pop down to see what we do. I was invited to St Mary’s Primary School on the 9 th where I receive a lovely donation of dignity bags that the Year 6’s organized and collected. On the 21 st I attended the WACOSS food relief & framework meeting, discussing feedbacks/outcomes – I will be looking forward to their final strategy for food relief in WA. We finished off the month thanking our wonderful volunteers with a Christmas Lunch, this was held on the 24 th and included a bus trip to gnomesville to place our very own “Ms Intown”, then lunch at the Bushshack Brewery, check out the photo’s on page 6. DECEMBER Tick-Tock, time apparently stops still for no one! It’s definitely the month to celebrate all the years happenings with all the people involved. On the 10 th all volunteers where invited to the SW Volunteers afternoon tea held at the BREC by Don Punch, over three hundred attended the surprise quest being the Premier Mark McCowan who was happy to chat with everyone. The board held there last meeting for the year, a Sundowner at the Highway Hotel, another way to say thank you to another group of volunteers that help the centre. On the 14 th I attended the SW Volunteers Breakfast at the Lord Forrest, again another event to thank volunteers that work for that organization. Finally we ended the month/year off with the Intown Centre Christmas Lunch, we had 99 people who enjoyed yummy food, gift giveaways and fun, I would like to give special thanks to the helpers on the day; Jeni, Jeff, Zac, Sandy, Sandra, Sharon, Marilyn, Rhonda, Chondelle, Tyler and extra special thanks to Peter.

We spend approximately $4,000 per month on food, half being used to purchase the main ingredients, the purpose of

this program is to gain the support of businesses to adopt a meal a day per month for a year (working week). If you are

interested in supporting the program, please contact the centre. This sponsorship is tax deductible.

Thanks to Base Plumbing, Bunbury Toyota, Cristal and Bunbury City Glass for supporting the program again this

year.

A special thank you to all the volunteers who are the backbone of the Intown

Centre, we all work well as a team to run a really successful centre.
