Another successful Seminar with perfect weather, students and teachers.
Oh yes, paintings, food, cowboys and Indians and one from south of the border, [Somesville!] Pedro! Wonderful time and one to be remembered!
I cannot take the sole credit for the success of the Seminar. Without everyone, those teaching, attend-ing and assisting, such an endeavor would not have been possible. Thank you, to all who helped make it a productive and memorable event. The murder mystery was a rousing success, due to the players, costumes and their innate sense of humor! Those that had to step in at the last minute to fill in, did a tremendous job!

Murder Mystery
WHO SHOT THE SHERIFF
What can I say? Those that were present know what a success it was, those that could not
be there, missed a wonderful evening of entertainment! My only complaint was, it was a
bit too long, but the ad libbing was the best part!
The resident Granny ghost—Sipping Hag,
played by Luann Klick, was fabulous!
Jan McCarty was our very pregnant indian,
Princes Careless, who dropped her baby in
the middle of the entertainment to the
comment of “Indians do
it all the time”.
Cute baby never
made a peep
4
Mark, the Pimp, trying to steal Lily
Whites [played by Laurie Keene, the
Madam] dance gals, spent a lot of mon-
ey, but never seem to get the gals!
The Gals were Played by Joy Keene, Lin-
da Coburn, and dancing Dottie Weav-
er—and how can I forget Scarlet Pati
[Dority], the head gal- and the very
memberable Peg Zarmabra!
Pat Pugh as the
[against everything
fun] Mayor, did a bang
up job!
5
Thelma Henry as the Indian Brave, Lowerwatha, along with side kick, General Custard [a little halfbaked], played by Marianne Keefe.
Thelmas’ hubby kept the plot mov-ing by playing Judge Henry.
Smokey Beare came all the way from Alaska to play the Doggie Town Deputy, Deputy Dogg.
Jeannie Warren was most capable as the rich Mexican bachelor! Loaded with BIG Bucks!
My niece, Vickie Homan from PA filled in as the Boun-ty Hunter, who never brought them back alive, for if she did, she would have then had to feed and guard them, DEAD, she just had to keep them from smelling gago!
6
Suzi Franklin was the town’s funeral director, complete with
cards proclaiming funerals, buy one, and get one free!
Jane Willet was her un-derpaid, grave digger, complete with a trowel [she gets paid by the shovel full].
Fran [Russels Hosses] was the famous outlaw, who was part of the dead sheriff’s outlaw gang from years ago
Kathy Saunders was a very convinc-
ing Telegraph operator, down to
the accent and costume!
Last but not least, the poor lonely widow who got cheated out of a gold strike, played by Mady Allan, [my sister in law].
The people who filled in at the last minute are to be ap-plauded! As well as all the others! Costumes were out-standing—even Pedro, who most did not recog-nize...played by yours truly! Pedro hired an official taster [to be sure the food was ok] as Pedro was deported back to Somesville, he [Mr. Pugh] never got paid!
7
Marge Otis, the blackjack dealer, did not get much business, as when the murder happened, all eyes were on the suspects! Alan Otis, her Hubby did a bang up job as bar tender and added much to the treasury!
THANK YOU ALL! For the great performances and the wonderful cos-tumes—many hours and much thought went into it all.

THOSE NEEDING OUR PRAYERS AND CARDS
Clare Agar—411 Bauneg Beg Hill Road, North Berwick ME. 03906, she not only came down with cancer in her leg [had to cancel the Seminar], but has the care of a sick husband.
Patty Heath—10 Clamshell Alley, Lamoine ME. 04605-4717 who could not attend this year as her cancer has returned.
Laura (Olsen] Underwood-32 Fernald Point Road, Southwest Harbor, ME 04709—Just had her leg amputated, and was unable to attend this year.
Ed Banks and Bev—69 East Avenue Lewiston Me. 04240-5238, was unable to attend as Ed came down with stage 8 prostate cancer.
Nancy Gouveia—16 Whipple St. Apt. # 1, Worchester, MA. 01607, had to cancel for the third time due to illness.
Thelma Henry—159 Main Street, Stoneham, MA. 02180, is to have surgery in the fall, after she finishes chemo.
Carol Weber, 448 Fisher Court, Shelton, CT. 06484: —has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Carol is a long time member of TEAM and used to be very active.
Betty Liscomb, passed away in the early spring from cancer. She was a member, a good friend, and wonderful artist, we were privileged to know her even for such a short time. She was diagnosed last June with cancer.
We all wish the above the best and our thoughts and prayers are with them and their loved ones.
Next Year
Is in the planning, some changes will be made.
One change at the top of the list is—if you want soda—bring your own, we will furnish ice and glasses.
We take the comments you turned in for rating this year’s seminar very seriously. Please get them to me soon as possi-ble. Thank you; they are most helpful in planning next year.
CHRISTMAS THEME—put on your thinking caps, we will have a YANKEE SWAP, Games, short entrainment, and maybe a visitor or 2 from the North Pole! As well as A Christmas tree and all the fixings.

NEWS FROM MEMBERS [send in more for next time]
Also attached is a complete listing of the persons attending the Seminar, with addresses, names and e-mails.
All the information I have from the evaluation sheets so far is very positive, but I do need more!
A quick up date from Thelma—She spent the week after Seminar with her daughter’s chil-dren and dog, while her daughter and hubby was away—she entertained friends with food
and all enjoyed the in ground pool—and card playing! Nice work if you can get it Thelma!
She just finished her 6th round of chemo, thinking she was done, but the doctors wanted her to have 2 more. She is going to RI for a mini family reunion, and then on to NY to visit Marianne, her sister! Keep up the
good spirits and jolly attitude. You will beat it Thelma!
PS Thank you to all the teachers who really out did themselves, and to Smokey Beare for making this newsletter beautiful and funny!

Was so nice to see Dotty Weaver looking and feeling better after a long illness!
Have a wonderful summer, stay safe and be happy!
Betty & TEAM
The murderer turned out to be our own Annie Krampitz who was the
most crooked banker a western town ever had!
