RAMADHAN WORKSHOP

SADAQAH

A big jazakAllah khair to Teacher ZobiaAzam for organising and preparingstudents for their rendition ofShakespeare’s Much Ado aboutNothing. Students and teachers workedtirelessly to put together their version ofthe play; and were very pleased towelcome parents and other members ofthe public to the performance.JazakAllah khair to Teacher Nelima andTeacher Huma for their efforts inpreparing props for the play.

In preparation for Ramadhan, Teacher Tahira prepared aninformative workshop looking at various ways to benefit from theblessed month. Students were given practical tips and reminders toprepare them for the month, with the intention that they could alsocarry on these acts outside of Ramadhan. Students were given aRamadhan booklet which contained essential and helpful dua’s forthe month as well as aids to help them visualise their goals andachievements during the month.

Students designed and createdsmall Sadaqah boxes to be usedduring the month of Ramadhan.£100the amount that they raised,will be donated to a charity oftheir choice inshaAllah.

YEAR 7 INDUCTION

Class prefects were accompanied by the head teacherto the Slough Refugee bank, where they donated aselection of various food items that all studentscollected over the month of Ramadhan. Studentsfound this to be an informative visit and plan to collectvarious different items for the bank in the nextacademic year inshaAllah.

AL-MADANI COMMUNITY EVENT

Alhumdulilah, the community event organised by Al-Madani, saw a good turnout from parents and members ofthe public. The rebranding for the school was introduced,and awareness was improved about Al-Madani Girlsschool. A big JazakAllah khair to all parents, students andstaff for all their hard work and efforts on the day.

Alhumdulilah, we held a successful inductionday with Year 6 students who will be joiningus in September inshaAllah. Al – MadaniGirls’ students prepared short lessons for thenew comers to give them a taste oflessons/activities that take place at the school,which were then followed by lessons that weredelivered by teaching staff. JazakAllah khair toall students and staff for their contributions,and we all look forward to welcoming the newstudents in September inshaAllah.

END OF YEAR SCHOOL TRIP

ARCHERY

SPORTS DAY

In response to students’ voice, ThorpePark was organised as the end of yeartrip. This was an enjoyable day for alland a good end to their time at Al-Madani Girls School for the leavingYear 11 students.

Students had a fun, but informative day learning the act ofArchery. Students were taught how to hold and use a bowand arrow correctly and practiced shooting arrows at theirtargets in various competitions throughout the day. This wasan enjoyable day for both staff and students.

Students took part in their annual Sports Day. Studentsparticipated in various activities such as: long jump, shotput, bean bag race, relay, egg and spoon race. Weconcluded the day with a rounders match. Well Done tothe winning team: Sabihah Butt, Manzil Khan andKhaleesah Ali.

CULTURE PROJECT

Students worked in house groups to prepare presentation fact files aboutvarious cultures from around the world, and presented their workalongside 3 food dishes that they made that were representative of theculture they had chosen. This activity was thoroughly enjoyed by all staffand students, and helped students to further develop their respect andunderstanding towards the diverse society that we are part of.

The awards ceremony at the end of the year allows us to celebrate the successes andachievements of our students over the academic year. JUMMAH FOOD SALE

SISTERS ON ICE

JazakAllah khair to Al-Madani Girls School PTA for organisinganother Jummah food sale. Alhumdulilah we raised £101.27.

PTA have organised an ice skating

event to take place on 25th July2018. The event will be open toall sisters and boys under the ageof 10; a promotional flyer is incirculation via social media andticket details are available on thisflyer. The ticket price includesfood, which will be followed byshort Islamic reminders by Al –Madani Girls students inshaAllah.
