The Cary Grove Area Chamber of Commerce has handed off hosting and management of the Cary Farmers Market to the Rotary Club of Cary-Grove. The chamber established the market in 2011 and it attracts thousands of visitors between June and September. The chamber approached the Rotary club to take over the market after evaluating the market’s operational impact on other programs and services the chamber offers. The chamber will continue to support the farmers market through advertising and other promotional avenues like the chamber’s webpage, newsletters and social media. The Cary-Grove Rotary club has hosted a winter farmers market since 2013. They have the experience to run and continue growing the market. The chamber initially approached

the Cary-Grove Rotary club in December 2015 during the chamber’s budget planning. The club went through their own internal process deciding what would be the right decision. By early February the agreement was final and the chamber handed over the market files and information to help them get started. The chamber wishes to thank all the vendors, sponsors, visitors and shoppers that made the first five years of the Cary Farmers Market terrific. The chamber also thanks the Cary-Grove Rotary Club for carrying on this important community element. In other news, the Cary-Grove Community Expo is Saturday, April 16 at Cary-Grove High School. Hosted by the chamber, this event is a great opportunity to come meet and greet with local businesses, nonprofit

organizations and government leaders. Over 80 booths will be showcased in the high school’s upper gymnasium and main hallway. The cafeteria will feature performances and demonstrations by local groups including McHenry County Youth Orchestra, Lee’s Martial Arts, AKF Martial Arts, Summers Dance Academy, and the Cary Canaries from the Cary Park District. Parking and entrance to the Cary-Grove Community Expo is always free. The event begins at 10:00 a.m. and runs until 4:00 p.m. Door prize opportunities are available all day long and the chamber will also host a drawing for a special prize. Vendor space is still available for the Expo. Businesses interested in participating can visit carygrovechamber.com or call the chamber office at (847) 639-2800.

I believe that the Cary Physical Therapy mission statement says it all. ‘Providing powerful, positive changes in peoples’ lives’. I’m excited to be part of this team!”
