ABOUT DEPARTMENT

Prof.A.P.Jadhao, Head of Department Diploma Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering is the basic branch of Engineering in which study of

design, development, manufacturing, analysis & maintenance of different systems are

included.

Mechanical Engineering Department of VBKCOE is well equipped with state

of the art laboratories & Facilities. Our well qualified and competent team provides

both theoretical and practical education through industry-institute interaction,

industrial visits; guest lectures, vocational in-plant training etc.

Faculty members & students are encouraged to participate in different

National & International conferences, seminars & training programme to update

their knowledge about the recent technological developments. Keeping track of

research, innovations in this field help our students be abreast with changing world of

knowledge and skills related to Mechanical Engineering field of studies.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEO’s) PEO1 – Acquire technical knowledge for solve problems beyond curriculum.

PEO2 - Apply the principles of engineering to find useful solution using creative and

innovative ideas.

PEO3 - Develop awareness about enterprise management, newly industrial technologies

and attitude

PEO4 - Develop personality, professional skill, positive attitude, self motivational skills,

presentation skill, and self learning habit.

PO1 –Student will demonstrate basic knowledge in mathematics, science and engineering

to solve the broad-based Mechanical engineering problems.

PO2 - Apply Mechanical engineering knowledge to solve broad-based Mechanical

engineering related problems.

PO3 –Students will demonstrate the ability to design and conduct experiments, process

that meets desired specifications and requirements interpret and practices to use the results

to solve broad-based Mechanical engineering problems.

PO4 - Students will be familiar with modern engineering software tools and equipment to

analyze Mechanical engineering problems.

PO5 –Assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent

responsibilities relevant to practice in field of Mechanical engineering

PO6 - Student will have the confidence to apply mechanical engineering solutions in

global, environmental and societal contexts.
