Principal’s Report Welcome Back I extend a warm and hear elt welcome back to Term 2 to all our students and parents. We commenced the week with two Staff Development Days, with class
metables being prepared for Week 1, in readiness for them to be implemented on student’s return to lessons today.
A Managed Return to School for Term 2 The last few weeks of Term 1 saw the transforma on of teaching with the introduc on of remote learning. Term 2 learning for students will evolve in the following way:‐
Phase 0 ‐ We are currently in Phase 0 of the COVID‐19 pandemic. During Week 1 and Week 2 the school is open, but students are encouraged to con nue their remote learning at home un l Friday, 8th May (end of Week 2).
Phase 1 ‐ Commencing in Week 3, the school will progress to phase 1. The school will be open, with students expected to return to school on a staggered roster ‐ one day per week. Notes to parents on returning to school will be posted out. The note will outline this transi on to returning to school and to class and will include the day of the week your child should return. For example ‐ students from K Pearls and K/1 Rubies to a end on Monday, 11th May.
Phases 2, 3 and 4 ‐ We will no fy parents and carers when these phases are to be introduced.
This newsle er also outlines further changes to our school rou ne. Please read and make yourself aware of these adjustments.

Anzac Day
Recommendations
2
As you are well aware, Anzac Day for 2020 was recognised by our community
through quiet reflec on and private tributes.
It was rewarding to see families make acknowledgment of this important day by
adding adornments in their windows or to the front of their houses.
Staff from Kandos Public School laid a wreath at the Community Hall cenotaph prior
to Anzac Day.

homemade poppies.
